1. Who we are

Surfbreak Theory is operated by Schut Enterprises Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@schutinc.com.

2. What we collect

  • Waitlist & newsletter: email address and the source of the signup.
  • Trip inquiries (Global Surf Travels): name, email, destination interest, dates, group size, budget, and any notes you share.
  • Media submissions: name, Instagram username, location coordinates, description, photographer credit, and the photo/video file you upload.
  • Contact forms & event signals: swell alerts, remind-me requests, and similar opt-ins stored in our CRM.
  • Technical: standard server logs, device/browser info, and basic analytics about how the site is used.

3. How we use it

  • Respond to inquiries and deliver trips, alerts, or content you requested.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • Send updates you've opted into (waitlist, swell alerts, newsletter).
  • Showcase submitted media on our channels, per the Media Submission Release.
  • Credit will always be given to the original creator.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Where it's stored

Data is stored in our managed cloud backend and email/notification providers used to operate the site. Access is restricted to Schut Enterprises Inc. personnel who need it to run the service.

5. Who we share with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Surfbreak Theory (hosting, database, email delivery) and when required by law. We do not share your information with advertisers.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@schutinc.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. To unsubscribe from emails, use the unsubscribe link in any message or contact us directly.

7. Data retention

We keep contact and submission records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Media submissions that we publish may be retained as part of our archives.

8. Children

Surfbreak Theory is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. International users

If you access the site from outside the country where our providers operate, your information may be transferred, processed, and stored there.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
